Can I request just an ESI-ID so the building permit can be issued?

Absolutely... simply leave the optional "meter install" date blank when requesting the meter.

  1. It will then appear in your dashboard connections list marked as:

    ESI-ID requested status tag

  2. Once the ESI-ID is issued, we'll email it to you, and the status tag will become:

    ESI-ID issued status tag

  3. Then you can arrange the permit and upload it to UtilityOn via the Documents tab:

  • And finally, click the green "Request service" button on the Temporary meter panel to get the power flowing:
