Permit number and comments now in meter request form
Provide extra information upfront to save time and hassle later on
The next time you request a new electricity meter, you'll notice that we now ask if you have a permit.
We ask for this information at the end of the first section (Site Details). Entering your permit number helps avoid potential delays to your meter installation - but you can of course enter it later on if the permit hasn't been issued yet... just select "No" instead of "Yes":
We also now allow you to enter any additional information you feel might be relevant via the new "Comments" input, inside the "Optional information" section. Again, this can help reduce delays if you enter relevant information like the gate code to enable the Utility inspectors to access the property (for example):
Finally, if you select a site address in what appears to be a regulated electricity area, a note will appear to remind you that a fee is payable to UtilityOn.
As always, our connection service is totally free in de-regulated areas that cover approximately 90% of Texas building sites.
